"Everything was fine. I have shopped I Stanstead grocery for years. My daughter attended St Joseph’s boardinng school in NEWPORT VT and I wanted to get some groceries before I came back down. The Sisters instructed me to follow Rt# 5 to Stanstead. The bank was right next to the customer house and the grocery store on the other side of the street. I would go get my crotons 50 lb bag of potatoes and all other goodies. I did my high school in St. Laurent near Montreal. My grandparents were from the Quebec area. I am still Canadian by choice. Is there anyway I could get some crotons from you? I am 89 now & don’t travel anymore. After my daughter left school I used to make a trip in the fall to see the fall and continue my yearly shopping in Canada. I saw the store in 3 different places since I shopped there, I’ve also been to the now store. Enjoying my treats. Please advise. I also got one year some molasses candies, ( the chewy kind) . I never saw them again, could be I missed them. They came in a big wooden barrel. Loved those."
